Sentidos Beach Retreat has been developing projects for and with the local community, namely in the upcoming construction of classrooms for the region’s children. As an independent entity, the hotel strives to engage the local community by providing them with the education they need. Hopefully, time will bring hotel customers and local populations together.
This bond is expected to last for an extended period of time with obvious and rewarding results for both parties. Aside from this community, the resort intends to embrace the cause of Mozambican maritime fauna, hopefully attracting the attention of locals and clients drawn to the richness of the tropical waters.

The Dream
The retreat originates from the dream of Joao Perino and his daughter Barbara. In love with Tofo and the breathtaking Mozambican coastline, after years of personal investment and much anticipation, father and daughter were able to make it come true.
Following a career in the Portuguese army and successful life as a businessman, Joao, challenged by his daughter, decided to invest in a new project, this time in the hospitality industry.
And so the Sentidos Beach Retreat emerged, the outcome of the dream and vision of an artist who has traveled the world.
To Barbara, staying at the hotel should be more than simply a few days in a luxurious retreat: it must offer genuine experiences of tranquillity and enchantment, elegance and refinement, the discovery of local culture, and deep-sea diving in a warm and crystal-clear ocean.
